KAPP Delivers RAF-S900 Injection Machine System to Vísir hf. in Grindavík

We’re pleased to announce that KAPP has delivered a new RAF-S900 injection machine, along with a Filter and Needle Washing Machine, to Vísir hf. in Grindavík. These machines are designed to enhance the efficiency and quality of their fish processing operations.

Efficient Injection Machine

The injection machine is designed to inject a mixture of brine and additives into fish products, helping to improve yield and maintain product quality. The machine uses the latest technology to allow for accurate and efficient control, ensuring that the process is consistent and reliable.

Simplified Needle Cleaning

The Needle Washing Machine simplifies the process of cleaning the needle head. The bottom piece of the needle head, along with the needle maintenance plate, is easily secured in the washing machine with two bolts. The machine then injects water through each needle at high pressure, ensuring thorough cleaning. This helps keep the injection machine running smoothly and reduces maintenance time.

Brine Filtration and Cooling

For efficient brine reuse, the filtering solution includes two conveyor belts with different mesh sizes—a coarse 2mm mesh and a finer 1mm mesh. These belts filter the brine, allowing only clean liquid to enter the reservoir tank. If cooling is needed, the system includes a cooling filter with a dual layer for coolant, along with a refrigeration compressor to maintain the desired brine temperature.

Supporting Vísir hf. in Quality Processing

We at KAPP are glad to support Vísir hf. with equipment that will help them continue producing high-quality seafood. We look forward to seeing how these machines will contribute to their ongoing success.

KAPP to Exhibit at Seafood Processing Global 2026 in Barcelona

KAPP will exhibit at Seafood Processing Global 2026, taking place 21–23 April 2026 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain. Seafood Processing Global is held alongside Seafood Expo Global, and the 2026 edition has been announced as the largest in the event’s history.

At the event, KAPP will present its broad portfolio of chilling, freezing, and processing solutions for the seafood industry. KAPP’s positioning centers on “Chilling, Freezing and Processing” and on helping customers maximize product quality, increase yield, and improve overall efficiency through advanced refrigeration and food processing solutions.

Visitors to the KAPP booth will learn more about a range of technologies for onboard and onshore seafood operations, as well as for aquaculture applications. These include OptimICE® liquid slurry ice systems, IQF Tunnel Freezers, Non-Pressure Plate Freezers, RoteX solutions, tub handling systems, ValuePump®, and other food processing technologies in the KAPP portfolio.

OptimICE® is designed to rapidly cool fish and maintain a stable, low temperature throughout the cold chain, helping preserve freshness and quality. KAPP’s freezing and processing portfolio also includes systems developed to improve yield, support gentle product handling, and enhance operational efficiency across seafood processing environments.

Seafood Processing Global brings together equipment, packaging, and service suppliers from across the international seafood sector, while the broader event attracts seafood professionals from around the world. For KAPP, the show is an important opportunity to meet customers, partners, and industry professionals in one place and discuss practical solutions for today’s processing challenges.

We look forward to meeting visitors at Booth 3BB401-E in Barcelona and discussing how KAPP can support stronger product quality, better yield, and more efficient operations across the cold chain.
